I'm Two!!!

It's my birthday! I'm TWO!! That's what I keep telling everyone today. It will be a good day. I'm having a little party at daycare (Mama even brought a cake for everyone to enjoy) and then a celebration with Mama, Dee dah, and Beebin tonight! It should be fun, and I'm hoping to get some balloons because I love them sooooo much!

I have really accomplished a lot in the past year. I learned to walk, and talk like crazy (I get that from my Dad), became a big brother (which has lots of responsibility, like hugs, kisses, and holding the baby), and I have become such an independent little boy! I can do anything by myself and often try, although my parents still try to supervise me. It's like they think they are my parents or something.....gosh! I'm working on potty training and hope to master that in the next year. I've come so far! I'm really looking forward to what my two's will bring. I'm sure lots of tantrums and becoming much more independent.

I'm having my birthday party at Grandma's this weekend. I hope you all can make it!

Love from the big two year old,
Avery

Sicky Poo

I know I told you I was supposed to start daycare last week, but I got sick and spent the entire week with Mama at home. It all started last Sunday when I woke up with a cough, runny nose, and a temp. I went to the doctor that day (yea for Sunday sick visits!) and every other day since then. I have RSV, which caused some wheezing in my lungs. I had to do breathing treatments every 4 hours for a few days, but now I'm just doing them 3 times a day (but today is my last day!!). I did not get pneumonia, which was very good!! I still have a bit of a lingering cough, but other than that I am feeling good and ready to start daycare this week! I'm told I will meet some new friends, so I am looking forward to that. Mama will go back to work tomorrow, too. She thinks she has a sinus infection, so she's not looking forward to it.

Avery is adapting to the 2 year old room very well! His teacher says him and Sheesha are two little peas in a pod, and don't do anything without each other. He's also potty training at daycare and is making strides every day! Such a big boy, my brother is.

My First Playdate

I had my first playdate this week! Mama took me to her friend, Natalie's house, to play with her baby boy Talan. Talan was born 5 weeks premature and had no suck reflex when he was born! He's itsy bitsy. He's 8 weeks old and still only weighs 8 lbs, so I look pretty big compared to him. He's growing quite a bit, so I'm sure he'll be bigger than me in no time! I was a really good girl. I smiled and coo'd the whole time and had a lot of fun playing with another baby. Speaking of other babies, I start daycare on Monday. Everyone there is excited for me to start, they have been anxiously awaiting my arrival since I was in Mama's belly!! I will be in the same room that Avery was in when he first started and will have the same teachers. Avery says they are awesome, so I am excited about that! Plus there are only 3 other babies in the room right now, so I will get lots of attention. My brother will be a few doors down, so I can see him if I get lonely (which I won't, I'll be too busy!). It should be fun, but my parents are concerned about my feeding habits. I don't like my bottle, but I have to get used to it since I will be taking several a day. My teachers say this is normal, so I'm sure I will be feeling the love soon. I'll keep you updated on my first week!

Boy in Training

Hi everyone! It's Avery here. There are some changes going on for me as I approach my second birthday. I've been showing signs of being ready to potty train for awhile, so my parents finally gave in and are giving it a go! I'm doing really good so far. I've peed several times in my potty and pooped twice! I know, this talk of pottying isn't all that exciting for you, but my parents are looking forward to only having one child in diapers, so bear with them. I have pull ups and underwear that I am wearing now. I LOVE my underwear! I feel like such a big boy in my briefs and Mama got me ones with Thomas and Elmo on them. She knows how to get my attention. I'm also moving up to the 2 year old room starting next week, so I can potty train full time. I am excited, I have lots of friends in the 2 year old room already, and my BFF Alyssa is moving up with me!

Well, I should go. I gotta go potty!
Love,
Avery
