We stopped in Metropolis, IL on the way home to have fun with super heroes

To kick off summer, we took a road trip to Iowa to visit family!  We had a great time.  We ran the Dam to Dam and did awesome!  We also celebrated Grandma Wray's 80th birthday, played in the sand, got hair cuts, and painted nails.  On the way back, we got to pretend to be super heroes!  We love vacation!!

Mommy's Day

Snuggling

The rest of our Spring was pretty exciting.  We did an Easter Egg hunt for school, and decided that all the stickers needed to be stuck on Berlin.  Sound fun?  We also got into lots of mischief around the house, which is not seasonally related.  We celebrated Mommy's Day, and like to spend lots of time snuggling on the couch.  Boo's and puppies are always an important part of our entourage. :)

Racing

In the Spring, we also traveled to Knoxville to cheer on Daddy as he raced his first half marathon.  He did awesome!  He even ran with a broken toe, which had to hurt!  We stayed in a hotel again, which we love.  We travel well!  Can't wait to do it again.

School Pics Spring 2012

Avery, age 4

How cute are we?

Berlin, age 2-1/2

The Cardinals!

Our daycare takes pictures twice a year, and as you can see, we have grown!  These are from the Spring.  Berlin is starting to overcome her shyness, and Avery is always a ham.  Unless its for T-ball and he's grumpy, then he's not having it!  The last photo was from T-ball season, with his team the Cardinals.

I hope you have enjoyed these updates.  There's more to come!  Updates coming soon (much sooner than they have been, promise).

Love, Avery and Berlin

Spring Training

Spring comes early in the South, and with the warmer weather comes warmer children who like to be SUPER NAKED!  It also means baseball is in the air.  This year Avery played T-ball for the Nolensville Rec Center.  His coach was Marty, who happened to be his friend Preston's dad.  He was a great coach!  He was tough, but showed us compassion, and taught us to be good sportsmen, who love to have fun playing baseball!  Berlin had fun, too, and is anxiously awaiting turning 4, so she can play, too!

Potty Training Update

Potty training has been going exceptionally well!  Berlin caught on quickly, and once she put on a pair of underwear, there was no going back!  She still has an occasional accident, but is otherwise completely potty trained.  Mommy and Daddy aren't sure if girls really are that much easier, or if they were that much smarter when the second one came around.  Either way, a house with no diapers has certainly been a happy house!

The Farmer in the Dell

Berlin found she loved jumping on trampolines while practicing singing.  Here she is singing, the farmer in the dell.
