Still lovin' to play ball

I still love to play ball! Only now, it's a little more fun because I got the safety gate involved. I love to throw balls, blocks, my socks, my bink, the puppie's bone, anything I can get my hands on, over the gate! I could do this for hours, and I generally do.

The after photo! After I got done, I made Daddy clean up my mess! All just so I could throw it over the gate again!

Maybe we can play ball together the next time I see you! Hope that is soon.

More walking...

I'm getting much better at walking! I've been practicing lots and prefer walking over crawling now. I'm still a little wobbly, but I will be the master of walking before long. This is my first attempt at walking on grass and with shoes on. I thought I did pretty well.

My cousins came to visit me over the weekend! We had a great time playing, and even went to the playground. It is such a nice weekend, I am happy I got to go outside and enjoy it with my family.

I'm tuckered out from playing so much. It's nap time!

Go, Go, Go!

Here I am, in all my glory.... walking like a big boy! I'm still learning, but making progress already. This walking thing is fun!

Guess who's WALKING!

I took my first steps tonight! Mommy was holding me and Daddy said, "Avery, come here!", so I took a few steps towards him. I didn't realize Mommy had let go. It was so much fun, I did it again and again. I think it went over well, I got lots of cheers. Of course, no one was filming me at the time, so I will have a video of me walking posted sometime soon.... Before long, I will be running!!!

T.O.D.D.L.E.R.

As many of you know, I am a very sweet, loving, little boy. I love to hug, cuddle, and give out lots of kisses to my loved ones. But I do have my moments, as evidenced in my first week as a toddler. I have recently started throwing temper tantrums. They're pretty impressive if you ask me, but I don't think my parents are convinced. I also like to test my boundaries by hitting and my newest thing is biting. I got in trouble twice last week for biting my friends at daycare. One of my friends took my toy away from me, and well, the other one just had it coming. Mommy and Daddy had a stern talking to me, so I've calmed down a bit. I don't want to be in trouble!

I started on Lactaid, a lactose free milk last week, too. Mama put me on that because I was diagnosed as lactose intolerant when I was about 8 weeks old. It didn't go over so well. I broke out in a rash, and man was I crabby! My tummy hurt..... so now I am on soy milk. Mommy suspects I actually have a milk allergy, so that is something we need to discuss with my doc. The soy milk is going over soooooo much better! And its super duper yummy, so I am a happy boy again.

I started standing on my own this past week, an important step before I actually start walking. It shouldn't be long now!

The Official Party...

My birthday party at Grandma's house was a blast! There were lots of family on hand to celebrate. I didn't know I was so popular. I had a great time, lots of fun people and toys to play with, and of course chocolate cake!! Grandma was a great host, she always is! I hope those of you who could make it, had a great time! And for those of you who couldn't, I hope to see you soon! I will spread my toddler cheer to you (and trust me, I am most definitely a toddler! More on that later). I am so exhausted from my weekend, I must go get my rest. I think Mommy and Daddy want their rest, too. Who knew a birthday party could be so fun and so exhausting...

One!

Look! Mommy made me cupcakes for my birthday!! It was a sweet surprise. I liked it a lot, rainbow chip with strawberry frosting. My birthday dinner was nice, I had pasta (can you tell?), Mommy and Daddy sang "Happy Birthday" to me, and then they surprised me with a present! I got a car, which they plan on pushing me around in once it gets warmer outside (hopefully that is soon, this cold weather is a bummer). I also had a little party at school. It was fun to spend the day with my friends. I like this birthday stuff, can't wait for birthday #2!
