Week Three

Well Avery has been in our life now for three weeks. We still don't know what night and day are but we are getting better. He took his first bottle on Wednesday night when I got back from my Chicago trip. He is getting so big. In the three days I was gone, it looks like he as chunked up a bit. I will have to post a picture of him when I get a chance.

Working from home is pretty fun, but I feel a little behind. It's ok...it's only my first week on the job and I have lots to do. I think we might have found our place to live in Naperville. We still need to get a few things taken care of.

Avery likes to smile a little bit more now and he is so cute. We have had many visitors and our BFF Camden came down last weekend. I think we are going to go up and visit them this weekend too.

Now that Daddy gets to feed him at 5am this is giving Mommy a chance to sleep a little bit...but not so much for Daddy. :)

Week one

Well the first week has been interesting with little Avery in our life. It's true what people tell you about not getting any sleep. Jen and I have been getting some sleep but not the full 8 that we were so used to for so long. It's ok, I love spending time in the mornings with my son after his 4am feedings and just rocking him back to sleep.

We have had lots of well needed help since Avery was born. Aunt Greta came out and was a big help. Grandma Pam came out and was a life saver. Aunt Katie is still here and she has been amazing. Aunt Andi will be coming this weekend so she will be such a big help as well.

I do have some other interesting news to report to any who do not know already. I have accept a position with Score! Educational centers.....in CHICAGO! That's right, the family is moving closer to Iowa. I start the job March 17th, but we do not have to be in Chicago till June 9th. I get to work from home the entire time till we move. We are excited to be moving to one of our favorite cities, and the prospect of owning a home will be so great! Avery will have a play room and a yard, and so will the puppies. It will be nice to be a few hours drive from family instead of a few thousand miles.

We went to the Dr. today to have Jen looked at and all things are healing nicely! Jen is such a rock star and my hero for going through all that for Avery and I. I love her so much.
