School Days

Hi everyone! It's been awhile since we gave you an update on how we are doing at daycare, even though Mommy keeps saying she is going to. Well, daycare is wonderful! There's lots going on, for each of us. Here goes...

Avery - I started in the 2-1/2 year room (the Hummingbirds) in the fall. My teacher's name is Ms. Caite, and I LOVE her! She is awesome. She is the right mixture of sweet and strict. There's 8 boys in my class, so ya know we're a handful. Ms. Caite keeps us under control! I've learned lots of new things in my classroom. In the fall, we learned the ABC's, several nursery rhymes, songs (I love to sing!), and we have a new theme each month that we focus on. We learned about community service one month, about dinosaurs another month, etc. This winter and spring will bring on new learning adventures! We will be memorizing a new poem each month, and reciting it in front of the class. I love to learn poems and recite them at home, but I'm a little shy at school. We will also be looking at letters more in depth, recognizing short words, so we figure out how letters go together to make sounds and words. Cool, huh?

In other news, my ear tubes fell out. I'm doing well with them out. I got one ear infection in the fall, but am infection free this winter! Yay!! I also am doing lots of running (I like to run with Mommy), flips, summer saults, jumps, etc. My parents are looking for a tumbling class for me, but in the meantime, the couch is my friend in tumbling!

Berlin - I am growing up a lot! I moved up to the Toddler Room at daycare in October (the Mini Monarchs). My teachers are Ms. Lindsay and Ms. Brittany, and I love them! They love me, too! Who wouldn't? I started sleeping on a cot during naptime at school, am eating at a table with my friends, using a spoon and fork (kinda), and all sorts of other stuff! You all know I started walking at 10 months old... since then I've started running! I also like to walk backwards, climb up stairs, and climb off the couch all by myself! I'm also trying to climb on the couch, but I'm a little short. I'm so close! I'm talking up a storm, too! I say several words, including bye bye, puppy, kitty, teddy, hi, no, Bailey, Madi, car, ball, cat, bottle, book, and much, much more! With the baby signs I am learning at daycare, I can communicate pretty well.

Some things I really like include my brother, my puppies, books, my blankie, taking baths, and being flipped upside down. Some things I don't like so much include having my diaper changed and my highchair. I finally got my parents to put the high chair away, so I am happy to sit at the table with my family! Yay!

Well, we hope you enjoyed our update. We will talk to you again soon.
Hugs and kisses,
Avery and Berlin

Eat, Sleep, Repeat

Hi all! Mama took this video at Grandma's over Christmas. I was a little sleepy while munching on my lunch, but I fought hard!

Enjoy!

Holidays 2010

Avery loves Spiderman!

Aunt Aunnie!

Avery loves gifts, Berlin loves her spoon

Posing in front of the tree

I wasn't supposed to touch the tree, but I did anyway!

Santa came!!

Mmmm, food.

I loved the wrapping the best.

And the boxes too.

Dinner with the cousins!

Hey there! Did you think we disappeared around the holidays?? No, we just traveled! We made the big trip to Iowa. It was long, but worth it! Avery was content watching DVD's in the car, but Berlin was pretty mad the entire trip. She will get into tv soon, I'm sure. We spent a lot of time with family - we hung out with Grandma, Aunt Andi, our cousins Danny and Natalie, our Aunt Becky and Uncle Tom, Grandpa, our Great Grandma and Grandpa Wray, and our many Great Aunts, Uncles, and cousins! It was fun! We got a lot of attention, and loved every minute of it! Santa visited Grandma's house. Opening gifts was the best part, and we even liked what was wrapped in them. We were a little spoiled, but are enjoying it while we are still kiddos. We also spent time listening to Christmas music, baking lots of Christmas treats, playing in the snow, and shopping! Grandma and Aunt Andi played with us every day, so much so, that we were exhausted! My favorite kind of playing! We love to visit with our family, and there's lots of love to go around. We made the long truck home to spend New Year's in Tennessee. We were so tuckered out, we passed out at 7 pm, even though Mommy said we could stay up later. We will see midnight some year! I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and New Year! Can't wait to see you again soon.

Merry Hugs and Happy New Kisses,
Avery and Berlin
